Leaving vital space between lines for the most important phrases to be emphasised, heavily-effected guitar work dances lucidly around O'Brien's engaging vocal delivery as pounding drums push the track forward with a thunderous sense of urgency. Lyrically discussing the highs and lows of a creative flow, 'A Thing You Call Joy' takes influence from Camus' The Myth of Sisyphus.
